Pressure washing isn’t right for every surface. Here’s why.
Good exterior care begins with the material, not the machine.
Pressure is one tool among several. Used in the wrong place or at the wrong setting, it can disturb joints, mark softer materials or damage vulnerable finishes.
Concrete is not sandstone
Different surfaces vary in hardness, porosity, finish and condition. The method, pressure, chemistry and dwell time should respond to those differences.
Condition matters too
Even normally robust materials can have cracked joints, loose coatings or previous repairs. An assessment and, where sensible, a test area help set expectations.
The aim is care, not theatre
The best method is the one that achieves the agreed result with proportionate risk. Sometimes that is controlled pressure; sometimes it is a gentler treatment.
ONE MORE THING
Does Dandy use pressure washers?
Yes, where appropriate. Pressure washing is a fulfilment method, not a promise that every surface receives the same treatment.
